My work (so far...)
Here's where you can find some of my work so far...it's a small sampling of audio, video and print work, but it'll grow. Check back frequently!

TV work...
This is a neat story I did on chef Xavier Lacaze at Muse Restaurant here in Calgary, a couple weeks before he appeared on the second season of Top Chef Canada. It highlights the growing food scene here in Calgary.
This story came about after I found a tweet from MRU instructor Sharon McIntyre talking about the change, and an event that featured it. This was the result of one tweet...can you believe it?
A sampler platter of my work as an anchor for MRU TV Connected. This one is a selection from April 5th, our very last show, hence the Murrow-esque signoff with my co-anchor Quinton Amundson.

This is a video that I made recently on behalf of SBNation's Waking The Red in Los Angeles, California -- as part of the blog's live coverage of the CONCACAF Champions League quarterfinals between Toronto FC and Los Angeles Galaxy. This video was entirely shot via iPhone.

Radio work...
I've recently had a chance to spend six weeks on practicum in Calgary's top radio newsroom at CHQR 770, and let's just say the experience is extremely humbling. This first piece is from the last day there, and highlights World Blood Donor Day on June 14th. The voice is of a blood product recipient, Aisha Rey.
During my time with QR77, I was at so many pressers I lost track of how many I was -- but strangely enough, I loved every minute of it. This one was by the Connect network for family violence in Calgary, and some of the stats even surprised me!
Of course, not every interview required me to go out to get the interview. We get the release, make a few calls, and within hours...voila! A story. This one also showed me the best way to deal with city bureaucracy...you got to be pinpoint, on the ball. Trust me on this one!
Sometimes, you just need to take a story to the streets. And that's when you actually have to talk to people -- and sometimes, like a box of chocolates, you never know what you'll get...especially when it comes to hockey.
When I was hosting the Hump Day Cafe, I did a lot of interviews both phone and live. This one is one of my favourites, with chef Connie deSouza, the owner of CHARCUT restaurant in Calgary -- this was just before the first season of Top Chef Canada.
This is me reading a weather forecast in Cantonese -- I did say I know Cantonese, right?

Print/Blogging Work
As part of my work with Waking the Red, I cover the occasional TFC (or in this case, Canadian national men's soccer team) match in a live commentary format. This particular case is for the recent Canadian men's team match against Honduras, which came to a 0-0 draw. It's not Dobson and Forrest, but it's probably better...if I do say so myself.
